Akari Paper Table Lamp

The Xuanzhi Table Lamp, originally designed in 1951 by a distinguished Japanese artist, represents a refined fusion of traditional Japanese aesthetics and contemporary design principles. The name "Xuanzhi" translates to “light” in Japanese, symbolizing both illumination and the subtle physical lightness that defines this elegant lamp.

The inspiration for the Xuanzhi Table Lamp comes from the designer’s visit to the fishing village of Gifu in Japan. There, he observed fishermen using trained cormorants alongside bamboo-ribbed lanterns covered with delicate paper to attract fish. Drawing from this unique tradition, the lamp’s shade is crafted from mulberry tree paper, selected specifically for its ability to diffuse light softly and evenly. This creates a warm, ambient glow that enhances any interior setting with a serene atmosphere.

Purchase Instructions: Each lamp is meticulously handcrafted through a detailed hand-bonding process involving paper and glue. Minor traces of glue along the lampshade edges may be visible, which is normal and does not detract from the overall quality or appearance of the product.

Installation Note*: For correct installation, please follow these wiring instructions carefully:
- Connect the black wire to hole number 2.
- Connect the white wire to hole number 3.
